This has not been an easy decision for the organizers — the Vladimir Potanin Foundation, Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia. Working with our numerous partners, we have spent months preparing for this large-scale event that has attracted hundreds of people interested in the endowment model. But potential threats to health and lives of people are a strong reason to change our plans.
We are not switching to an online format for the forum but moving it to the second half of the year instead for several reasons. First, we hope to give participants the opportunity to take part in face-to-face discussions, meet experts and colleagues from across the country and from other countries, and find like-minded people. Second, we believe that right now it is crucial to allow session organizers and nonprofit leaders to focus on the existing tasks of their respective organizations and to take crisis response measures. The Forum is an important event for our industry, but right now we need to ensure sustainability of organizations that we create endowments for.
We are convinced that making prudent decisions together will help us tackle any challenges.
New dates of the Forum will be announced in due course.
Wishing you good health,
