By 20 June, 231 applications from 52 regions were received, 166 of them were accepted for evaluation.
The competition’s geography has expanded: organizations from Yakutia, Udmurtia and Khabarovsk Kray took part in this competition’s round.
Leading regions (by applications number):
Moscow – 48
Saint Petersburg – 12
Sverdlovsk Region – 8
Bashkortostan – 7
Omsk Region – 7
Krasnoyarsk Kray - 7
The Foundation engaged 37 independent experts from the non-commercial and culture sectors from 16 Russian regions to evaluate applications. Two experts evaluated each application; and in case of a significant discrepancy, an application was further assessed by a third expert. 55 applications were shortlisted (48 applications from the June’s round and 7 applications from the May’s reserve list).
This round winners in the «NGO. Going Agile» nomination are mostly focused on problems of children left without parental care and treatment and rehabilitation of children with special needs. Moving online will enable these organizations not only to maintain the scope of activities, but expand them. For example, due to the partially online format, consultations of Moscow and Saint Petersburg NGOs will become available to families and specialists from regions and a unified, interactive map of civic initiatives and projects will appear in Yakutia.
Notably, cultural institutions, winners of the «Museums. Culture. The New Form» nomination, perform not only an educational, but a social function helping vulnerable groups. These organizations employ culture as a tool to narrow the generations’ gap, support the elderly and socialize teenagers from dysfunctional families.
«The competition «Common Cause» has reached its milestone, and we are proud of our active, flexible and motivated colleagues from the non-commercial and culture sectors. Continuing interest to the competition enables us to tackle social problems and help those who really need this help. Winners of the previous rounds have already started implementing their initiatives. These projects are: «ZOOM+» of Nenets Autonomous Okrug Museum Association aimed at developing virtual museum products; «Virtual museum of a rock poet Bashlachev» of the Chelyabinsk organization «Our Place» for the youth with disabilities; inclusive Series «Leonardo needs you» of the theater school «Inclusion. School. Novosibirsk», and this list could go on. I am sure that equally productive and inspiring work awaits us» , stated Oksana Oracheva, the General Director of the Foundation.
Totally, 879 applications from 82 regions were submitted for the competition «Common Cause». 80 organizations have become winners.
