Vladimir Potanin receives The Art Newspaper Russia Award

The award ceremony was held at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow 26 February.

The newspaper mentioned the Foundation’s strategic approach to culture support, saying that ‘over the 21 years of activity the Vladimir Potanin Foundation has grown into an influential social institution which makes a significant contribution to the development of education, culture and art, supporting the voluntary movement and philanthropy. One of the key features of the Foundation’s work is the ability to set new trends.’

Vladimir Potanin said: ‘Culture gives us an invaluable experience of learning ourselves, our life, our world. There is a constant duel between our abilities, talents and dispositions. And it is culture that empowers us in this struggle and gives faith in our best. Supporting culture, education and arts is my priority, and we will continue our work of a driver for culture development.’



This year the award marks its 8^th year. The laureates were selected by the newspaper’s editorial office. Selection criteria included public resonance and a high professional level of achievements. The newspaper paid attention to the events, projects and individuals who make Russian art part of the global artistic process.
