Last week a Russian translation and adaptation of Cards for Culture – Museum Edition was launched at the Intermuseum festival in Moscow. Erik and Jasper visited the city to run a teaser workshop with over 80 local and regional museum and heritage professionals.
The first grant competition of the Olympic Scholarship Program for visiting professors is completed. The competition was held to attract the best world-class experts to RIOU, introduce innovative courses into the ROIU curricula and promote dissemination of best practices of the world sports industry.

The opening of the ‘Fostering Leadership’ exhibition curated by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation provided a catalyst for dialogue on the way in which Foundations can effectively fund ‘culture’. A special survey was commissioned by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation to assess and evaluate the results and the impact of the Vladimir Potanin Fellowship Program, which is the longest and biggest project of the Foundation.
On February 20, 2014 300 winners of the Vladimir Potanin Fellowship Program were selected based on the 2 rounds of the contest out of over 3000 student applications.
Over the 10 years of its operation the Changing Museum in a Changing World Program grew into a major event in Russian cultural sphere. Out of 4177 applications submitted it has selected and supported about 190 innovative projects which were or are being successfully implemented.
Since 2006 the Vladimir Potanin Foundation together with the British Council have organized annual educational trips for the winners of the Changing Museum in a Changing World Contest.
