Anastasia Kumaritova

Director of the legal department

Anastasia joined the Foundation team in June 2015. Anastasia’s role involves daily legal support to the Foundation, due diligence, developing local policies of the Foundation, including Board of Directors minutes, negotiating with counterparts. Anastasia controls compliance with the Anti-corruption policy, Principles and Guidelines for charitable activities and Risk Management of the Foundation.

Prior to her work with the Foundation, Anastasia worked for the Russian Branch of the Evolution and Philanthropy not-for-profit organization (UK). As a Legal Work Executive, she carried out lectures, seminars, master classes for lawyers of Russian NPOs and foreign NPOs in Russia, analyzed NPO’s legislations and prepared relevant proposals to head company, gathered analytical legal materials and references on current development problems in Russian law of NPOs.

Anastasia graduated from All Russia State Tax Academy of Ministry for Taxes and Dues of the Russian Federation, Moscow, Russia. She has an MA in Jurisprudence and a PhD in Not-for-Profit Law. The co-author of more than ten publications in scientific and popular editions about NPOs, including in international editions, the most recent of which are Legal Note on NPOs in Russia.
